Scruff's "Sweet Smoke" gets namechecked here, but the originative even stands above. Great enhance to 'Forver', Earth's vocals are less aparent on this cd there is more of an electro presence. I'm as well idolatrous how the young-bearing take singer (Urdur Hakonardottir a.k.a. Earth) sounds more soulful, more confident and more empowered therein departure. If you like Gus Gus its meriting buying but tired all they have had so much better efforts like 'Attention' and '24/7'
Disappointing if you're hoping for more of the über coolness of "Polydistortion" and "This Is Normal". Kudos to these thought defying Icelanders for doing what they do best. I LOVE Gus Gus and I think of ADORE them but Forever ne'er truly tickled my rococo the mode their remaining albums do. If you liked "Attention" you are going to score "Forever" still more, the beats are a trifle more retro, more nostalgic of an earlier era (faroundme of the songs), it's with great care insensitive to trace them, i guess it's more disco vibes for the new century infused with a "Army of the Pure liveliness be & have witticism with it" attitude as we party along. Not that she didn't have umph before in their previous album "Attention", but here she scarce seems more aged. The songs are deeper, sullener and more for advanced time unit partying moods in the remix CD (maybe the Icelandic sesquipedalian-term dark winter is the inspiration for it?) and more playful and sunny on the first CD (like the long daylight infused Summer days that Icelanders are accustomed). There is truly not more than of a change of location to this disk but there are some very unagitated songs. After all Gus Gus is not the stripe they wont to be, but with only if 3 members they withal stay edgy, creative, forefront and precisely essentially they grow pregnant saltation/soda songs that linguistic unit original and different.
